Data we collect

• Account and contact data: Name, email address, and any details you provide when submitting our contact form or signing up for early access.
• Wedding site data: RSVP responses, invite details, guest upload metadata (file type, size, timestamps, moderation status), and gallery interactions created through your WedChapter wedding site.
• Authentication and session data: Cookies and local storage used for admin sessions, RSVP access, cookie consent preferences, and gallery policy acceptance.
• Payment data: Billing and payment information processed securely by Stripe. WedChapter does not store card details directly.
• Technical and analytics data: Page views, interaction events, and basic usage signals where analytics is enabled and consented to where required.

How we use your data

• Provide and operate the WedChapter platform including RSVP, gallery, and wedding site features.
• Process enquiries and contact form submissions.
• Send transactional communications such as account confirmations and support replies.
• Protect the platform from abuse, including automated upload moderation.
• Manage subscriptions and billing via Stripe.
• Measure and improve platform performance using analytics.
• Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Third-party processors

• Cloudflare R2: Stores uploaded media files. Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: Processes payments and manages billing. Privacy Policy.
• Google Cloud Vision API: Used for automated image and video moderation. Google states Vision API content is not used to train or improve models. Data Usage FAQ.
• Brevo SMTP: Used to send transactional and operational emails.
• Vercel Analytics / Google Analytics: May process technical usage signals to help us measure performance and trends.

Data retention

• Contact form submissions are retained for the duration needed to respond to your enquiry.
• Gallery files and associated metadata are retained until you or your account holder requests deletion.
• Moderation metadata may be retained for safety, audit, and abuse prevention.
• Cookie preferences and their retention periods are described in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, portability, and the right to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
